No idea. But why wait until you are travelling to get any necessary medication? Different countries have different rules. For instance, we can buy Larium from any chemist, without any prescription. Malarone we get through our doctors, as it is not available in chemists. Other countries have it exactly the other way round!! | |||

I think I’m good with my meds. We have a couple other people traveling with us that aren’t going to be near their personal physicians prior to departure. I was just wondering if they can procure something over the counter, like other countries. | |||

I have been able to purchase antibiotics over the counter in UAE multiple time albeit in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. We like to take a bottle on our travels outside the UAE and they have not turned me down yet. There is no guarantee but a script from the states might or a good explanation might get their grace. | |||

You can get antibiotics over the counter, but I am not sure it is available in the airport. | |||

You may well be able to get it from the pharmacy in the Joberg airport, if you are flying into Joberg. I left some heart medication at home several years back and they gave me what I needed without a prescription. Guns and hunting | |||
