I have kept the personal cell phone numbers to the Baggage Managers at both Jo-burg and Dulles, as well as the contact guy at JFK and US Customs. Obviously getting these numbers were difficult and I had to promise not to make them public, but if you need them its OK for me to give them out on an individual basis, so just give me a call. If you have any trouble with lost rifles call me at 606-625-1301 and I will hook you up with an actual person who can help you, don't waste your time on the numbers listed on the airline web sites.................JJ " venator ferae bestiae et aquae vitae "

Did you recover your rifles?

Yes, they are safe and sound at JFK working their way thru Customs, but I admit it has been a worrysome 10 days though. Speaking to a real live person who put " hands on " my rifles put my mind at ease somewhat, so I am offering that same peace of mind to any other unlucky hunter whos rifles have been lost.................JJ " venator ferae bestiae et aquae vitae "

Thanks for putting the number up. I hope I won't need it-- I'm flying through Dulles in Sept. Can you think of anything in particular a person could do to avoid what happened to you, or to more quickly remedy the situation if a gun case turns up missing?
