JJ_MillerNotice to All Hunters Booked On SAA.........
I have kept the personal cell phone numbers to the Baggage Managers at both Jo-burg and Dulles, as well as the contact guy at JFK and US Customs. Obviously getting these numbers were difficult and I had to promise not to make them public, but if you need them its OK for me to give them out on an individual basis, so just give me a call.
If you have any trouble with lost rifles call me at 606-625-1301 and I will hook you up with an actual person who can help you, don't waste your time on the numbers listed on the airline web sites.................JJ

wihntrDid you recover your rifles?
27 June 2007, 21:53
JJ_MillerYes, they are safe and sound at JFK working their way thru Customs, but I admit it has been a worrysome 10 days though.
Speaking to a real live person who put " hands on " my rifles put my mind at ease somewhat, so I am offering that same peace of mind to any other unlucky hunter whos rifles have been lost.................JJ

wihntrThanks for putting the number up. I hope I won't need it-- I'm flying through Dulles in Sept. Can you think of anything in particular a person could do to avoid what happened to you, or to more quickly remedy the situation if a gun case turns up missing?
