I'm leaving Atlanta on May 30th to hunt with Vaughan Fulton in Namibia. Does anyone have any recommendations on satellite phone rental services? This is my first safari, and I think my wife wants to talk with me some while I'm gone.

Can't help you there, but I'm hunting with him in September. Where are you hunting? I'd love to hear about it when you get back.

I used this company when we went to Zimbabwe in March. The phone worked great and the reception was fantastic. I also rented the satelite dish for my laptop and was able to e-mail from Chirisa.
Phone 1-888-884-7623, if you use promotional code 213926 you get 10 free phone minutes. Good luck on your hunt.

Kathi - you must have gotten a special deal! The promo code is only for those who refer customers to them. It ended up costing me about $200, with no prepaid minutes, plus a $100 deposit....

Thanks!

Mobal satelite rentals of Florida better prices all the way around. No pkg air minutes...pay as you go, no shipping or return they pay it, your daily rate is $9 and it stops when you drop it off at a FedEx drop off..not when they get the phone back.
I've rented iridium several times from several different companies and trust me Mobal has the best rates going to date for what you get.
** of course the best deal is to use the camp's and just pay them for the minutes you use.

Despite several phone calls and emails, All Roads did not honor the rate Kathi quoted - they charged me almost $300 for 8 or 9 days!!!!
