I am told "Clear" can get you through departure security checks at some large airports in US, as Global Entry gets you through immigration upon arrivals in US.

If you have it, let me what you think?

Thanks, D. Nelson

I have had CLEAR for many years. The company went out of business for a while and then came back although with fewer airports. However, the number of airports is increasing.

I cannot tell you how great it is to have CLEAR. I flew out of airports such as LaGuardia and Reagan every week where the CLEAR lane probably saved me an hour since I did not have to wait at all to go through security. It is much faster than TSA Pre-Check also, and Pre-Check is sort of hit-and-miss.

Seriously, I doubt you would ever wait more than one minute in the CLEAR lane.

There are certain airports where you sign up and get fingerprinted etc. I went to Atlanta for mine.

CLEAR is worth every penny. I do not know what it currently costs for the first year, but I think renewals are $99 per year.

I don't use Clear as I use TSA pre-check that came with my Global Entry. Just as fast for the airports that I use.

I have it and have had it for years. It works pretty well but is only in certain airports.

Just get Global Entry. TSA pre-check comes with it free of charge.

"Clear" is very different than TSA precheck. At least where I have it. The lines are still long. Apparently, CLEAR gets you to the front of the line even ahead of Precheck. Global Entry/TSA Pre-check were free with American Express card. I will probably get it as soon as LAX has it. Website says "coming soon"!

Trust me CLEAR is way faster than TSA Pre Check. If you value your time CLEAR is the way to go.
