The TSA is good as searching and antagonizing old women, but….

Cannot catch a convicted criminal??

TSA personnel are not law enforcement personnel with arrest powers. They are not going to chase a suspect and will have to wait for LEOs to come to the scene.

I thought maybe Alec Baldwin was there.

There is no intelligence requirement to become a TSA agent, a driver's license requires more testing.

We have good old "43" to thank for that. So many bad jokes about them.... However they are now an institution. Only a pulse required.

I recall taking an entire troop of Boy Scouts to the Boy Scout National Jamboree on the East Coast just a few weeks prior to 9/11, and all of the Scouts and the leaders carrying pocket knives on the plane without any issue (had to be, I believe, less than 6 inches of blade). Times certainly did change. . . . .
