Might be cheaper then to join SCI or the NRA in order to get Sportsman's Insurance. I have, among others, my double rifles insured by them, after nearly losing one of my doubles a few years ago to mishandling by one of our "star" airlines.

I agree 100% with UEG, having been down this road before.

Besides, if you're not already a member of one or both of these organizations, you should be!

In any case, I use SIA and they have been easy to deal with.

They are in the business of insuring firearms and accessories and their coverage is excellent, IMO.

Although I have never had to make a claim (knock on wood), I understand that their handling of claims is fairly hassle free as well, which is very important.
