Im thinking to go to SA,orNamibia or Zimbawe and make a safari walnking or survival type ,the goal is to learn as much as you can about flora and fauna of Africa ,and about surviving in the african desert or bush.Contact with natives is important .What you recommend .Juan

Juan:

Contact Cam Grieg who currently has an impala cull hunt (which I am going on) offered in the "hunts for sale" section. He offers a walking hunt in Cameroun which is too tough for 98% of the people who go to Africa, certainly including me, but is cheap and you can go as far as you want, all on foot, and without a PH of any kind plus the price is right.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Here is one thread that describes some of the hunt and conditions. Like I said, it is not for the faint of heart, this is the real deal......

If you're really up to an old-fashioned primitive hunt in Namibia with a guy that lives to walk up game in the classical fashion, try Kai-Uwe Denker:

He can be a tad eccentric, but he's the real deal.

When you get bored with life, start hunting dangerous game with a handgun.
