Give an idiot a bit of power..... I have been on flights where flight crew asked passengers to either turn their phones off or put them on plane mode. They were always polite. One time a lady was talking on the phone, and the stewardess said "please put your phone on flight mode when you finish your conversation" There was never any confrontational attitude!

When she bought the ticket and checked the terms and conditions box, she obviously failed to read the rules printed there in..... Getting a "tude" for ignorance and embarrassment is no excuse. l wonder how she behaved on her next flight?!

Good for the stewardess, she did a little clean up.There needs to be some discipline on flights.

More and more people have become inconsiderate, selfish assholes! That is all there is to it. On a flight from Miami to Denver, the plane was delayed for 5 minutes because some fool decided to get a notebook out of his carryon bag that was in the overhead bin. The flight attendant told him a dozen times to stop and wait until we took off, but the idiot just ignored her and continued to dig through his bag. After we took off, the fool then took off his shoes and propped his smelly feet up next to the headrest of the passenger in front of him. What a total douche! Some people don't know much about choosing their battles. In this day and age where it seems like cell phones are everywhere, everyone needs to be aware of how they conduct themselves.

I have zero tolerance for people who don't get off their phones when the door closes, who text, etc. Like I have said before, if you are that important, fly private and you can do whatever you want. On SAA you can't even have your phone on during takeoff landing. Is it necessary from a safety standpoint? Who knows? Is driving over the speed limit dangerous? Maybe, maybe not, but there are consequences for doing so.

I totally agree with you. But I think sometimes a crew member or an airport security personnel tent to get it into their heads that they are untouchable. I was on a flight when a lady was actually using two phones at the same time as the doors of the plane were closed. She was sitting across from me, and the stewardess had to ask her several times to turn them off. At Dar airport one security man who checks you as your carry on before boarding the plane was a nasty mood, and hassling everyone. He opened my carry on bag, and said "why do you have such a big carry on bag?" I said "it is non of your business how big my bag should be. It is the airlines that decide" He gave me a very look, closed it and went to the next passenger. I travel quite a lot, and I don't like to see anything stupid from either passengers or airline and airport employees. I see some incredible behavior from all of them, and if it affects me, I do draw their attention to it.
