AR Folks,

Firstly, thank you to Saeed for a great forum and cheers to all the members sharing their hunt reports and photos that have been a joy to follow over the years.

With the guidance of my father (fairgame,), I have been teaching myself to paint from the bottom up. I feel I have finally reached a level in which I feel I could make a worthwhile contribution and aim to achieve the same success like so many of the great names mentioned in the topic 'Who is your favorite wildlife artist?'.

I was fortunate enough to be shortlisted for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the year 2016 at the Mall galleries in London and will be gunning to win in 2017. I paint both landscapes and wildlife (wildscapes) in an impressionistic and painterly manner, I will also now be open to commissions and shall post new and relevant work to the forum in due course. To view some of my recent work in the UK etc go to www.benbaldry.com

The following painting is for sale,
it is oil on wood, 16x16inches including a small mount. It depicts the final moments of light before darkness in the Luangwa Valley.

PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Ben

Good stuff Ben. You are picking up a bit of reflection when photographing the image.

Great portrait of dusk and one can imagine the grunt of Leopard and the deep bark of baboon.

Well done.

Just a thought - you could offer AR a metallic print option?

Yes, apologies for the odd bit of glare. Cheers Dad.

Yh I guess if there is enough interest, I could speak to Roland about a print run. If anybody would be interested in a reasonable print let me know and I will see what we can come up with.

Ben

Hey you bugger, good to see you on here. Joyce and I follow some of your escapades on Facebook and when I saw your painting of the garden that looked french impressionistic I thought you are your Father's Son.

Well done Mate.

Cheers
Jim & Joyce

andrew not surprised if the lion one went for £2,600.00 Big Grin like that luangwa one, it brings back a few memories of sitting with a beer and watching the sun set over the other side of the luangwa, and all i can say ben is that you have got the colours spot on . real nice. cheers mike

If it evokes those sorts of memories then it is a success. Thanks Mike.
