| Yes, California and Oregon are full of thin shell walnut trees. It is probably equally a matter of the conditions under which walnut trees grow, as where in the world. Juglans Regia, or English, Circassian, French, and other names, is grown in the US too. But the old growth native trees, are from Black Sea area, but have been planted all over. And the best wood does seen to come from there too. |
