I am also very sorry for your loss, and my prayer go to you and your family.

And to Mr. Stonecreek for his empathy and for doing the right thing.

Very touching, sorry to read of your loss. Glad you like your FN, my favorite post-war bolt gun.

John

Do you happen to know if that small ring - small thread FN action was the one that Browning used (with bolt stop & trigger modifications) in their early .243 & .308 High Power rifles?

Sorry I did not do photos but I did shoot my .270 late Saturday, cool calm at 100. I picked up 3 boxes of ammo, a 20 box of Rem 130 gr core locs, a box of double tap 130 gr accubonds, and a box of HS 130 gr. berger VLD hunting. I started with the cheap rems and by 5 shots I was in the orange of the 3" stick on dot targets, Wind age was spot on, I have never seen such a sensitive elevation adjustment in my life. forward is a small knurled lock pin, then a large flat knurled adjustment elevation turret. The turret is very sensitive, a little movement goes a long way!. I know the scope was on and off 4 times and returns to zero no problem,I doubt I will ever take scope off again except for cleaning. This scope is a Hensoldt-Wetzlar Dialytan , the eyepiece adjust to my 60 yr old eyes in a snap! I do not know if scope is 4 or 6 X. I do know after 5 shots with cor-locs I was in orange a made the black bull with 2 touching, I only shot 2 Double taps loaded with the accubonds and they touched but were 1 1/2 inch to right of 3" orange target, I did not shoot any of the Berger VLD's . It looks like any windage adjustments will be with engraved screws. Long story short I am tickled with gun! I will do photos next time. very best WinPoor
