Thanks to all for the information and advice. I shot the custom M70 again today and it shot well with some bedding changes. With the 155 gr Berger VLD 'Hunting' bullet that I favor for my .30" rifles these days it made a 1.5" two shot group at 200 yds. with a full load of H4350 and Fed. 215's. Now to test it again to be sure it stays sighted in for that first shot from a cold barrel.  Get the 'power' or optic that your eye likes instead of what someone else says. When we go to the doctor they ask us what lens we like! Do that with your optics. | |||
