Thanks to all for the information and advice.

I shot the custom M70 again today and it shot well with some bedding changes.

With the 155 gr Berger VLD 'Hunting' bullet that I favor for my .30" rifles these days it made a 1.5" two shot group at 200 yds. with a full load of H4350 and Fed. 215's.

Now to test it again to be sure it stays sighted in for that first shot from a cold barrel.
