To me a custom hunting rifle looks naked without an ebony tip. Having said that, the rifle I've used most in the field, my old David Miller .270, has no tip. The rifle was not made for me and I got it directly from David 2nd hand. I didn't ask but I assume the client it was crafted for preferred no tip. It looks OK and works just fine.

Nice gun! tu2 I love blondes too! Big Grin I think that the appeal of that rifle is the blond stock with the dark lines and contrasts. Having a fore end might have actually ruined the look. Big Grin
