The twins are a nice distraction, but damn is Duane good. I can"t wait to see the end result.

Her she is with the wood sealed:

Duane says the picture came out lighter than it is in real life.

Nice rifle enhanced by the artistic composition of the photograph. Duane is obviously an artist in more than one medium.

That's the kind of rifle a guy could get some use out of. It gets nicer with every photo.

Ready for checkering.

The metal is with Charles Lee for some minimal engraving.

Charley,

Is that rifle setup a 3 or 4+1? It looks pretty trim through the magazine area.

Outstanding. No need to point out how talented Duane is as it is obvious.
My question is What does it weigh ?

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

Jeff,

I am pretty sure that it is 4+1, but I'm not sure. Never mattered that much to me warrant asking.

Phil,

I initially wanted something around 8lbs, but when I told Duane the action and barrel I wanted to use he said something along the lines of "yeah, right". I don't know where it will end up, but Duane kept things as slim and trim as possible given the components.
