Hello everybody,

has anybody gathered practical experiences with Buehler Custom Rifles (http://www.customsportingarms.com) or at least some substantial informations?

Thank you very much!

Reto builds a top-of-the-line rifle. Check out the past two issues of the ACGG magazine to see some of his big bores in action.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Are you kidding? There is plenty of controversy - like who is the better craftsman, Reto or his companion James Tucker Big Grin

Seriously though, both are rifle builders of the first order and real gentlemen.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

I also met Reto in Reno. I was really impressed with his work. Especially the single action that he made himself.

As for James Tucker he is craftsman extraordinaire. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to have taken several classes from him while I was a student. Influenced me greatly.

We have had him build a few guns.
One of the most talented rifle builders out there PERIOD!
And a great guy.

I have a Buehler Custom on a Sauer 202 barreled action that I purchased from Reto several years ago via Gunbrokers.
While I have not shot the rifle yet, I am pleased with it in every way. The stock design is elegant and fits me perfectly. The wood and worksmanship are outstanding.
Reto was a pleasure to deal with in completing the purchase.

Probably amongst the 5 or 10 best gunbuilders in the USA, you cant do much better really.

It doesnt come cheap but pick a good allround caliber and you are set for life.

Far worse investments out there, like cars.... and wives.

Get the 'power' or optic that your eye likes instead of what someone else says.

When we go to the doctor they ask us what lens we like!

Do that with your optics.

Every day is a good day for a true professional like Buehler.

If he has a bad day, you will never know about it.

He will not let less than the best get out of his hands to you.

And he will make you pay for every bit of it, but not for the mistakes along the way.

Which is just as it should be. tu2

Just received another Buehler custom on a square bridge Mauser.
Probably THE most well made, and beautiful bolt rifle I have ever handled.
Extremely expensive, and worth every penny.

Once again, thank you for remarks. I hope 458win is not too disappointed about the absence of controversy Wink
