 | Yep, got a set myself. They are Kimber design, but I am pretty sure mine came from Cape Outfitters (now Jeff's Outfitters)Yes the threads oppose so they can both lean inward toward each other. |

 | This "design" was originally a Len Brownell .Len used a series of serrations on the base and matching serrations on the moveable jaw for recoil abutment. The bases were only .100 high, but were a real pain to remove and attach because the serrations had to match up exactly and that moveable jaw tended to catch and grab
Warne's bought the rights, but changed to the recoil abutment idea. Dave Talley's deign is almost exact , but with a 1/2" dovetail instead of Warne's 7/16"

Better PR and promotion sent the Warne's down the road.

I like the Warne lever design and the LH/RH thread configuration. Had Warne read the tea leaves and changed to the 1/2" dovetail, they might sill be around

 | I once had a set of this type of Warne mount but sold them after I bought a similar set made by Tom Burgess. The ones made by Burgess were so precise that you could not see the dividing lines in the steel where the parts mated together. Sadly I sold those too. |
