Anyone know anything about this firm? Google does not turn up much. Found a few references to him in connection to Clayton Nelson. Was he maybe building rifles on Clayton Nelson built single shot actions? Any insight appreciated. Thanks, John

You are correct, named for Clayton's sons. I know that Clayton has retired, last I knew he was living with one of his daughters somewhere in the Southwest(NM maybe?).

So it would be a Clayton built rifle? Thank you for the info. I got to know Clayton a bit when I was teaching a class at Trinidad. Spent several enjoyable evenings in his little garage shop. John

Yes, that would be a Clayton Built rifle. I would go pester him occasionally when I was a student at TSJC. Very talented guy and fun to chat with.

I took a couple of stock making classes with Clayton at TSJC. His business card used William Christian Firearms. I have a couple of videos he produced on stock making from the blank and used William Christian Firearms on the video labels. I really enjoyed working under Clayton. Very talented and modest to go with it. A number of years back in summer classes TSJC would allow us to use the classrooms on week ends to get more done on our projects. Later they stopped that so Clayton let me use his personal shop to work on my projects. Great guy. Craftsman
