Not everybody's cup of tea, but might be right up somebody's alley.

Place has 4 days of auctions, lots of actions of every description.

They make nice rifles, but you have to be able to appreciate them for what they are.

The majority of the nay-sayers don't like red-heads either.

To me they have a very comfortable feel, almost uncanny in how easy they make shooting big calibers. Even his classic stocks are wonderful.

Always nice to see something different in the world of bolt action rifles.

This one is a Prechtl Magnum Mauser.

Americans are not the only thumbhole folks.

Oncy upon a time, I helped an older friend of mine sight in his Harry Lawson 300 Weatherby Magnum. He was on his way to one of those 'Stan' countries, to hunt one of the rare sheeps that live WAY UP there.

It had the Lawson [radical is my term] thumb hole stock. He had had the rifle for many many years.

I can say, I was impressed quite a bit as to how well it shot. It was suprisingly light and nimble it handled very well. Worksmanship was very nice.

Smoking deal for a rifle that was probably $4500 to build.

I would figure it was a real good buy if you figured to re-stock it.
