What a gorgeous piece of wood that has not been a safe queen. I would be tempted to restore it like that gorgeous 350 Rigby that is one of my favorite rifles of all time and on this thread.

The rifle was built by Keith Stegall. Not only did he build beautiful rifles, he also sold some of the best french walnut at that time.

huskyFirst you have to select the right walnut blank. Some gunsmiths in Europe order from Turkish dealers, some visit the IWA Show and buy the blanks there.
Not so with P O Stenmark, he selects the right three in the Caucasus mountains.
