These photos don't do it justice, but here are a couple of pictures of my CZ 550 .416 Rigby just back from Wayne at American Hunting Rifles. I opted for option 3 - 3 position safety, single stage trigger at 2.5 pounds, new sights, glass bed action, gunkote, recrown barrel at 22 inches, AAA grade english walnut stock at 13.75 inches l.o.p., and barrel band sling mount.

Beautiful rifle

I'm just wondering, the color as we see it in the pics, is that how it really is? or is the lighting changing it a bit?

If that is actually how it is, I LOVE THE COLOR

cmfic1,
Its shows up a little lighter in the photos, but not too much. AHR did a great job and that first ding/scratch is gonna hurt, but hopefully I'll have a nice story to go along with it.

Opus, is the rear sight base banded around the bbl?

Just got back from 30 days in Namibia with mine that Wayne built. Killed everthing quick and up to 350 yards on one zebra.

Very very nice Rifle. It has the "Big Game" look to it.

The only thing I can't figure out is why (if CZ is aware that American's prefer 3 position safeties) don't they put them on in the first place?

I met Wayne on the 30th. He's a good guy. I'm taking a rifle he built me in 9.3mm to Namibia on the 8th. I also have a .416 he did. His work is good to go.

Great looking rifle. With a little elbow grease, CZ550s or Brno ZKKs can look as good & function as well as the best.

Wayne brought his wife and the kids over to see my "dead" animals and deliver my 416 Rigby. Now I have a matched 416 and 375. He's a great guy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
