| A lever was a common way to release the floorplates on commercial Mausers, particular before WWII. I own a Kurz Mauser from 1923 with that feature.

| Hinged floor plates are definitely cool and everyone seems to want it. For whatever reason though I find I never actually use it.
Might make an exception for that plate though. Just too neat not to use. |

Beautiful rifle ! No my rifle release is different. If your holding the muzzle upward with the floorplate facing you, you would turn the lever 90 degrees to the right and that would release the floor plate. I have seen them pictured here but know nothing about them.

| I know this is an old thread that I just came across. The rifle that heanenknows posted above from an egun auction had to be fraud. I have had that rifle in my possession for I would guess close to a decade.
