Beautiful rifle. I like the way the cheek piece is blended with the stock above the grip. A bit unusual.

Very nice and rare skeletal metalwork with first rate stock. All a very pleasing rifle. Has me thinking about a newly obtained 1954 M-70 in 270 WCF. Avatar

Beautiful work Jim! I love the wood that you got for the rifle from Cecil Fredi. Cecil's a good friend of mine and lives about 8 minutes from me. I'm always over when I can be, drooling over his 30K+ gunstock blanks stored rack by rack in his huge warehouse and drying containers. For me, I'm a happy kid in a candy store when I'm at Cecil's.

Those pics were taken by me with my cell phone, they do not portray the wood's beauty Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

How light can you build a wood stock pre-64? 6.5lbs would be amazing.

What Jim said.... Very inconsiderate way of co-opting a nice thread... Just to look at an old POS that is not custom...
