| Would you like to give us a hint as to what this rifle is to be used for? The .25-'06 is useful both as a big game hunting round and as a varmint cartridge. Are you interested in one or the other, or both? It's hard to recommend an action, barrel profile or stock design without this information. This is a custom built .25-'06 on a pre-64 Model 70 Winchester action which I am planning on selling eventually, which would be ideal as a long range varmint rifle. |

| I found an old WW1 Mauser and used that for the action. I had the action cleaned up and trued up by a gunsmith, then had a Badger Barrel made, chambered in .25-06 and installed. I also used a Huber Concepts trigger, which was a simple install even for me!
I got a stock from Richard's Microfit and finished it myself. I now have a tack driver .25-06 that after I broke the barrel in, shot ten shots into one ragged hole at 100 yards. |
