There are other company's that put this operating system out before Ruger. If you look for them, you just may find one in .308 Win/7.62 NATO. The SKS, AK, FAL, etc have pistons that isolate the bolt carrier from the gas. I think the AR15 with less reciprocating mass was an improvement. My problem with the AR15s is Chrome lined 556 chambers in shit barrels with fast twist. | |||
