Does anyone know where one can purchase military issue 30 round magazines for the M1 .30 Carbine? I have a friend who is looking for some of these and any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Be very careful looking for this item. There are many reproductions, rebuilds, and outright fakes on the market.Also many after market mags out there.
Just not many true GI surplus mags.

I had an aftermarket 30 round mag fall apart while inserted into my M1... quality varies.

OK so there one has to be careful when purchasing mags for the 30 carbine. What I'm wondering is what is the name of a manufacturer of a high quality mag for the M1 Carbine? I see ProMag has them for about the same price as a USGI. Anyone have a recommendation on a name brand that makes a reliable mag for the M1 Cabine?
