So, because you couldn't find it on "the net," this means, what? Tell you what, give me a post office box and I'll scan it and send it to you. How's that? http://www.riflemagazine.com/magazine/index.cfm?magid=10 Regards, Eric "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." Don't worry about it Eric. You've just seen all he has to offer. Terry -------------------------------------------- Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Not interested! Now back to the topic! SKS action strength...... Why don't YOU tell Maxpayne to go ahead with his projects?!! ..... OH! Wait a minute......I think I know what Eric was hinting at! Something like a Pederson device to shoot the 7.62x25 pistol cartridge in the SKS. BRILLIANT!

Wait a minute......I think I know what Eric was hinting at! Something like a Pederson device to shoot the 7.62x25 pistol cartridge in the SKS. BRILLIANT! No, actually I wasn't thinking of something so childlish. Intresting idea as that is. I think that an SKS can handle a 6.5 Grendel. More bizarre conversions have been done with success. And, (as anyone who reads firearms magazines knows) there are many conversions that have been done with great success on platforms first considered unsuitable. For example, .45 WINMAG in an M-1 Carbine. I think if an M-1 carbine can handle that there is a good chance the SKS should be able to handle the 6.5 Grendel. We Americans got great by doing things that others considered impossible or not worth the effort, not by throwing crap at others. Just a thought. Okay, so much for the name calling. I look forward to seeing Max's SKS rebarrel project results. An action donor SKS is easy to get, probably for under 150 bucks and a barrel blank isn't that much either. Since he can 'smith it himself this project should be ready for (safe) test firing soon. Look forward to seeing the photos and/or video!
