Hey guys,

Sorry for chiming in late. I just got back from a few days of R&R in Whitehorse.

The ram was shot by a the fella who bought the Kluane Premier's Permit (the special permit that allows hunting in Kluane Park) a few weeks ago. Green scores 182". Bart Lancaster and Kelly Wiebe were the guides. I have the spec's in an e-mail somewhere....I'll dig them out and post here. I do recall 14" bases and 44" on the curl. Eeker

Statement of the obvious, but man it is a real beaut. I haven't checked the book, but its gotta be in the top couple or few.

Cheers,
Canuck

And another pic that I found on another website...

Cheers,
Canuck

Every time I convince myself that I can live without getting any of those other sheep species that I can't afford to hunt, something like this comes along...

It's about time I win the lottery.

That's amazing. What did the Premier Permit go for this time?

It's good to see that Bart is keeping busy. I guess he videoed that hunt?

I have heard that the tag went for $150,000 and don't find that hard to believe.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. Any idea what the guide charged? It was either real cheap or real expensive depending on how you look at it.

According to the FNAWS web site, the Kluane permit went for $170,000 this year. Last years went for $180,000.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me into the Great Outdoors.

I remember doing a two week hiking trip in Kluane park in 1989 and seeing a ram like that on a ridge above me.That park sure is beautiful.
