Looks like you had a great hunt. Excellent trophies. Who were you hunting with?

thanx to all; Skyline, I hunted w/Big Knife Outfitters out of Donalda, great group of guys, all young and with enthusiasm to spare Big Grin

This is the 4th year I've hunted with them, and I can honestly say I can't think of another place where I'd rather hunt deer, Alberta is simply off the charts ...great and friendly people as well. As to the whitetail, we spotted him at about 3:30 pm (very warm day of 50 degrees + no less) in that brushy flat in the right-background of the last pic, we were in an elevated position and otherwise wouldn't have seen him, he never completely showed himself until right when I shot him ... damn good thing I never looked at his rack closely, only confirmed that he was a shooter; I haven't been that excited since my first animal, a 6-pt elk, in Idaho's Selway in the mid-80's ....

the pics don't do him full justice, he's bigger when you've got the rack in your hands ...

I'll be back in Alberta again next year, thanx again all...

Best Regards,
Craig Nolan

Congrats !!! Sweet deer for sure.

I wish I had more time to get out to hunt my mulie tag this season. Oh well...X-mas tree ornament and wait another 2-3 years again for the draw tag.

thank you again guys; Mighty Peace, I sure envy you Albertans' with your wealth of game and wide-open country ...

KG, thank you; yes, much more than ducks, although ducks and doves were my first hunts as a kid ... I haven't seen any of your 'fowling posts w/pics this year yet, I always enjoy reading them; slow hunting year or have you not been out much ?? Best to you,

Regards,
Craig Nolan
