If you know of reputable taxidermists in the Smithers area of BC please post details here. One nice fellow I used a couple of times seems out of action currently and I need to find another. Thankyou

Was he the guy with a shop near one of the lakes? I will see if I can find the guy I used.

You might try Daryn Eakin with Northern Wildlife Designs (northernwildlife.net), 250-698-7577. He's at Burns Lake and was recommended to me by Angus Morrison w/Wild Coast Outfitters.

The guy I used is Roger Britton, but apparently he is ill right now. The guy I hunted with, Mike Young, says all the outfitters in Smithers are using taxidermists from out of town; your outfitter could probably help.

AAZW, TSP,
Many thanks guys for your help and info.
Yes, it was Roger Britton I referred to. He and his wife were so helpful to me I wanted to put my work with him again but I also was told he is unwell. My phonecalls have gone unanswered. Then this matter moved along a bit. Colingwood Bros, my outfitter, suggest Daryn Eakin with whom I made contact and he seems very good. I would trust Collingwoods to only recommend someone of capability. As it happens I also talked to Angus Morrison some weeks ago as I am hunting with him next year. He also works with Daryn Eakin. So, all in all, I think this question might be resolved.

Collingwood Bros have been around that area for a long time, so I don't think they would steer you wrong. I almost booked with them, but then I got a deal on a hunt for Mike Young through Atcheson's. Had a great hunt with Mike.

Clint Moon at Canyon Creek Taxidermy seems to do some nice work. Never used him but have seen his shop and follow him on FB. Maybe another option to check out.
