Like everyone else here ... I am an avid big game hunter and I try to hunt as much as I possibly can. Every year I sneak off to my little hunting camp in Northern Namibia for a month or so .... I often hunt in Montana, certainly Alberta, and actually quite a lot in South America. And because these trips normally are interesting (at least to me) and full of laughs and misadventures and bungling .... I have gotten into the habit of writing books about them. I figure that some day when I lose all of my marbles I can drag out one of those books and see what I used to do for fun. ![]() ![]() Anyways ... my partner in the little camp in Namibia is a wonderful very colorful chap who is a Viet Nam vet, ex Idaho smoke jumper, etc... dude who often uses the term, 'Rode Hard and Put Away Wet' from his earlier experiences with horses and such ... I just finished this last book on hunting in Canada, Montana, Australia, and Namibia and thought of a really rough boat ride we went through on a fishing trip in the Atlantic off of Swapkomund .... and so I named my book 'Rode Hard and Put Away Wet'.... The other day I decided to check out to see if it was listed on Amazon.ca ... and so it was. I then checked on Barnes and Noble ... and once again it was there .. for sale. And then I glanced under my book to find another one of the same title ... and read ... ' lesbian cowboy erotica .... ' ![]() ![]() | ||

Hi Scruffy; Given the number of "writers" out there today, it's prety hard to come up with an original title. The first time I ever heard this phrase was when someone referred to a mutual aquaintance, a particularly hard, well used looking, woman. It's now one of my favorite. ![]() Indeed, no human being has yet lived under conditions which, considering the prevailing climates of the past, can be regarded as normal.
