July 1 always reminds me of a canoe trip Ms AZwriter and I used to take near the Canadian border every year during the July 4 weekend. It often included July 1 and during the evening we were close enough to see fireworks go off across the border.

A happy and belated Canada Day to our friends up north. Only been there once for Canada Day, spent it in Quebec City and listened to Eric Clapton perform in concert on the Plain of Jars.
