yes castle law is far from our forte here ... few people has killed thieves in their home and won in court including in toronto but the cost is insane to have good representation.

I hesitated starting this thread for this very reason. The portrayal of both our countries in the sensationalized news cycles for the most part does not represent my personal experiences speaking with Canadians and Americans both rural and urban.

Yet, when I saw the video in the op, I was quite surprised. Yet think of a situation like Daniel Penny and the infamous NY subway "chokehold". It was obvious to me the treatment there was not very different from what Phil describes as Canada's interpretation of castle doctrine.

Socialist's are the same world wide when it comes to disarming the population.

They want control and disarming the people is a necessary thing if they want to control the population.

as Jim pointed out it s always more complicated than we think ... but our crown (your prosecutors/DA system) and police local or federal do not want you knowning that ... and im pretty sure there is a lot of states that have a very similar situation.
