Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends. 30 years ago I got weathered in in Watson Lake Yukon after a moose/caribou hunt, unable to fly onward to Vancouver for 2 days. The local family that owned the motel took me in and invited me to Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve been forever grateful for their hospitality. tu2

Watson Lake is pretty remote. That is not too far, as the crow flies, from where medved lives.
We lived in Fort Simpson for a few years. My oldest son, now 52, was born there.

When I was there 30+years ago, there was one motel in town. Since it was October, the town was essentially shut down as the Alaskan Highway tourists were gone for the season. The family that owned the place opened up 2 rooms for my buddy and me and kept us fed until we flew out 2 days later. Canadian hospitality at its best. After all the shit orange jesus has pulled, I rather doubt we would get the same hospitality now. Mad

there is now 3 hotel/motels and multiple rbnb ...
strangely we are still nice unless of course you wear a red cap but this is not the political part of the forum ...
