Since you are in the Canada section, I would assume you want to hunt black bear in Canada. For a two bear limit you should look at British Columbia or Alberta. Alberta allows baiting in quite a few zones, but any zones with grizzlies do not allow baiting. British Columbia does not allow baiting for black bear province wide. For a good chance at colored bears you should focus on the interior of BC or Alberta. The west coastal bears are predominantly black, with the exception of the Kermode bears, which are white, and the Glacier bears (bluish grizzled appearance) that are occasionally seen in the north coast next to Alaska. Both of those colour phase bears are protected. Occasionally brown or cinnamon bears are taken on the coast, mostly in areas where a large river drainage passes through from the interior, but chances are all you will see are black. I have guided extensively for black bears in western Canada for about 45 years and am now retired. If you need any further info feel free to send me a PM.

If you’re looking for a baited hunt in Alberta, Mike’s Outfitting without question. He has the best management and consistency with big bears. Check out his spring reports on bowsite.com. He takes both rifle and bow hunters and his yearly track record on big bears is unmatched. https://forums.bowsite.com/tf/...messages=241&forum=6

I can set you up with big bears in Saskarchewan up on the Churchill River. There’s more coloured bears than blacks, 6 footers are babies, and there is some serious fishing for walleye and pike. Can’t help you with 2 bears though. Boat based hunts in an area with no roads and the same amount of trails

I’ve shot a couple grizzlies, and seriously I can get bigger blacks than both of them. Northern Sask has some monsters. Our best, a 8’ 4” black taken by my son was a real monster. Be tough to beat that one; but I’m stacking 7 footers.

I can provide rifles or a cross bow for those that don’t want to do paperwork importing. Being a certifiable gun nut; I can assure that none of it is junk.
