This is basically just an experiment in posting pictures. Hopefully It will show the wolf I bagged near Bergen, about 60 Km. north and west of Calgary in October. Just one of this years pups, but he barked and growled at me,when I stopped for lunch.

I have almost no experience with wolves .. although long ago and far away I did shoot a big gray one in B.C. I never knew that they barked. Confused I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Franz:

I read your wolf story in Sports Afield. Nice story. If I had more time I would try and write for that mag. I hunted with Diane Rupp's (who I am sure you are aware is the editor of SA) husband Scott (editor of Petersen's) last spring in Wyoming on a varmint hunt.

Anyway, it was a good story and I enjoyed it. I like that mag a lot.

AnotherAZWriter: Amazing what you bump into on these forums! My buddy & I have hunted in PA with Diana's parents for years. Have some articles written by her when she was in her early teens! Have hunted with her and Scott, but only in their native PA. I'm happy for them in their "dream jobs"!!! If you see her, tell her Chris & Gordon said Hello and that I recently subscribed to SA!!!

Congratulations!

A wolf is really something I would like to hunt sometimes. Seems to be more challenging than a bear.
