I want to send my action and barrel to the US for some metal work and engraving.How do I go about this?

Try an internet search...the procedure is somewhat onerous but relatively straightforward as I understand it.

This has been discussed multiple times at http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/
You need an ATT to the border, plus all the U.S. ATF permits. There are all kinds of Canadian smithy's who do custom work without all the border crossing legalities.
