I live and work in the Cariboo-Chilcotin region of BC where there we have less than 70,000 people living in an area twice the size of England. LoL Mule and Whitetail deer as well as Moose and Caribou are the major big-game animals I chase. I also love wing-shooting and spend many hours hunting both upland birds and waterfowl.

Recently relocated back to the Peace Country of BC after an absence of 16 years. I like hunting pretty much everything, and can't really say I have a primary quarry. Hunting mountain game probably turns my crank more than anything. My dog would be upset if I don't mention waterfowl and upland game though! Cheers, Canuck ps: Thanks Saeed!!

quote:Camo Girl from Gunnutz? Lucky guy. She has a good head on her shoulders, and she's good looking, too. I wish my gal would get into shooting and/or hunting. We only go grouse hunting together... She always spots them first- "There's a grouse!" Me: BOOM! "There's another!" Me: BOOM! "Another is over there!" Me: Dammit!, I'm reloading!!! BOOM! "Oh...I feel sad for the grouse." Me: Why did you point them out then?

I live in Montreal, but do most of my shooting in Stittsville, Ont., just outside of Ottawa. I'm mainly a woodchuck hunter, but fly-in for moose in Ontario. Being older (66) most of my shooting today is from the bench, and I thoroughly enjoy it. Best wishes. Cal - Montreal

Hello: I have live in central Albeerta, about 60 km. from the mountains, for the last 20+ years and have hunted all over Alberta, for whatever. Deer hunting for me however, is just a walk out behind the house. grizz

Eastern New Brunswick. Bears are my only big game I hunt, until I'm lucky enough to draw a moose tag. Then there are the ducks, gese, grouse and woodcock. Wintertime favorites are snowshoe hares with a muzzle loader. In the spring we hit the hills for big crow shoots on Saturdays. I usually guide the first couple of weeks of October and then do it for myself.

I'm up here in the big place,..no, not Nunavut, but rather all-of -it! Long enough to be a resident old-timer, and, I suppose the resident gun-nut in Yellowknife. When I'm not shooting or playing, I'm outfitting in the barrenlands. .......Yes, it's a hard life up here! ~Arctic~

Hello fellow Canadians. I recently moved to Vernon, BC from Whitehorse. Gave myself a year to live here, sort of a working vacation. Get to live in civilization and put lots of miles on the bike for a while. In the Yukon I hunted moose, bears, caribou, goats, sheep, and varmints. BC laws forbid me from hunting here for a year, will have to go to Sask and hit the old man up for a whitetail hunt. Really nice to see a Canadian forum here

Hi all! I live in the Cariboo, central B.C. I hunt everything on four legs and will kill many road chickens through the season. My passion is mulies though. When I'm not hunting it's fly fishing. This province has the best of both worlds!

I live south and west of Calgary along the foothills.I look for sheds in late winter and early spring.Dream of new hunts and new rifles all year round.I hunt opening day of bow season for moose and hunt every chance I get until the end of the season for everything else. I wake up early and come home late.Snow and the prospect of bad weather make me feel like a kid at Christmas.I eat sandwiches that I found in my fanny pack from my last hunt.Hunting can be a cruel mistress.Thats why I love her. I never, ever, ever give up because of bad weather, full moons, soaking wet feet or competion from other hunters.Blown transmissions and wrenching out the starter in a howling snowstorm from deep in a snowdrift just make me feel complete. Getting stuck in the mud is some kind of wonderful.Crawling into the fart sack in the back of the Suburban is better than the finest hotel. Its not over until its over and my reason for doing all this is just over the next ridge. It is called possibility. I am Canadian.Just like you.

I live 20 minutes north of Whitehorse. I hunt sheep and moose every year wether I spend most of the season guiding hunts or not. Due to a work injury, I have taken time off from guiding and have spent more time hunting for myself. All species are basically open at the same time so when I am hunting sheep or moose I am hunting everything that is available. I hunt wolves, coyotes, and bison in the winter. I hunt wolves and coyotes while I sit at the computer on the AR site as a matter of fact. I try to go back to Sask. where I was raised to hunt whitetails evry two years. I really miss the waterfoul and upland bird hunting in the prairies. I will have to take a fall off and do this some time. Mabe some of you would be interested in gettting together and doing this. I have friends in south sask. that could put a crew of us up. Tom Lowe, Mooseomin has been my stomping gounds for whitetail for many years. Long before it became popular with Sask. residents. At one time, I would not ask permission to hunt from the land owners because a guy was always being invited in for coffee or breakfast and I was eager to get hunting. I don't think it is like that anymore. Non the less, I like the place. I have often thought, that when I retire, I would like to purchase one of those beautifull stone houses there in town. Then just hunt coyotes and whitetais. You in town or farming or both? Daryl
