| Hello; According to Dave Smith, whose book Bear Basics I just happen to be reading, it's one of those stupid labelling problems. American pepper spray cannot say "for use against animals", while Canadian cans may not be labeled "for personal Protection". It obviously cannot be carried in carry on baggage and you can't have it in your checked baggage either. Smith also suggests you not cary it inside small planes either, or at least put it in a secure hermetically sealed container. As for me, I wouldn't bet my life on it.
