I've decided that I'm going to scope my K-38. Anybody have any suggestions as to brand of mount? I don't want to drill any holes. Is B-Square my only choice? velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

The aimtechs don't require drilling but they are kinda ugly

I would NOT get the kind that clamps over the revolver where the barrel screws in. It scratches the surface no matter what you do. I would get a good scope mount designed for the Smith and drill the holes! Just my 2 cents, Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong;

What is a good scope mount designed for the S&W besides Aimtech or B-Square? velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

If you can find one Buehler used to make a no-screw mount for the K and N frame guns. I have one on a M48 .22 mag and it works well. Not sure how well it would work on something like a .44 Mag., but think it would be more than enough for a K.38. C.G.B.

I can't find anything on Buehler except a few odds and ends, I think that they are out of business. velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

Buehler is gone but their mounts show up from time to time in the usual places. I found mine (new) long after they were gone. There are a few dealers that specialize in old/obsolete sights and mounts, might be worth a try. The are very high quality. C.G.B.
