need some help, the double action on this gun is like trying to pull a semi, anybody got any suggestions on how to lighten the da trigger pull

VERY CAREFULLY.

The internals on the Mark III don't like polishing much. Dry fire it on snap caps, and, do something like this to weaken the springs a little:

Here's a picture of a Colt Trooper Mark III in 22lr that I used to have:

Many years ago I had one with the same problem. It has a coil mainspring and I cut off 1 coil. If you're not careful you'll make it too light and may have light primer strikes. Go slowly and if need be you can shim it back up or replace the spring.

If you want to play with the springs, you might consider going here:

then if you don't like it, you can always change the springs back...
