need some help, the double action on this gun is like trying to pull a semi, anybody got any suggestions on how to lighten the da trigger pull | ||

VERY CAREFULLY. The internals on the Mark III don't like polishing much. Dry fire it on snap caps, and, do something like this to weaken the springs a little: Here's a picture of a Colt Trooper Mark III in 22lr that I used to have: | |||

Many years ago I had one with the same problem. It has a coil mainspring and I cut off 1 coil. If you're not careful you'll make it too light and may have light primer strikes. Go slowly and if need be you can shim it back up or replace the spring. | |||
