Looking at buying a Remington XP-100,anyone here currently shooting one? Comes with 200 rounds of primed brass any idea on loads? short and fat and hard to get at, hit like a hammer and never been hit back. | ||

Not my first choice of caliber for an XP, but none the less an excellent round. The 221 does fine in the 10" tube too. A fellow I shoot with can't get anything over a 45 grain bullet to satbilize, so you might keep that in mind. Shooting one, no, 4 or 5 yes I am guilty. I don't have as much use for long guns as I did a few years ago. I don't have any loads to point you towards, but a phone call to Sierra should do the trick. My 221 is a carbine I had built for my son. He is not as picky as I am so load development has not went to far. XP's are addictive, so consider yourself warned. Jeff | |||
