Very nice. Cal PS. I was tempted to say it was garbage. But, if I did, I would be a low life scum sucking piece of human shit and we don't need any of those on AR and the fine company herein. _______________________________ Cal Pappas, Willow, Alaska www.CalPappas.com www.CalPappas.blogspot.com 1994 Zimbabwe 1997 Zimbabwe 1998 Zimbabwe 1999 Zimbabwe 1999 Namibia, Botswana, Zambia--vacation 2000 Australia 2002 South Africa 2003 South Africa 2003 Zimbabwe 2005 South Africa 2005 Zimbabwe 2006 Tanzania 2006 Zimbabwe--vacation 2007 Zimbabwe--vacation 2008 Zimbabwe 2012 Australia 2013 South Africa 2013 Zimbabwe 2013 Australia 2016 Zimbabwe 2017 Zimbabwe 2018 South Africa 2018 Zimbabwe--vacation 2019 South Africa 2019 Botswana 2019 Zimbabwe vacation 2021 South Africa 2021 South Africa (2nd hunt a month later) ______________________________

Thanks Cal. The under side of this leather is supposed to keep one cooler or trap less heat than the other belt.

I don't know of the technical details. Just from what I see it looks damn nice. I actually like the fact the colors don't match. The offset compliments each other's highlights. The guy who made the belt is beer drinking Joe Bailey. He is one of my beer clients.Joe lives just down the road.Joe was a rodeo guy.He loves horses-he owns some. When I picked up my belt we had a beer and he showed me his horses and his version of a trophy room.He has a cool small leather shop next to his home.

Serious question, really, but why 13 rounds and no stop at 12 or go to 14 so you have a even number of reloads?

May I ask the cost of the belt? I may be interested in one or more in .600, .577, .500 etc… Cal _______________________________ Cal Pappas, Willow, Alaska www.CalPappas.com www.CalPappas.blogspot.com 1994 Zimbabwe 1997 Zimbabwe 1998 Zimbabwe 1999 Zimbabwe 1999 Namibia, Botswana, Zambia--vacation 2000 Australia 2002 South Africa 2003 South Africa 2003 Zimbabwe 2005 South Africa 2005 Zimbabwe 2006 Tanzania 2006 Zimbabwe--vacation 2007 Zimbabwe--vacation 2008 Zimbabwe 2012 Australia 2013 South Africa 2013 Zimbabwe 2013 Australia 2016 Zimbabwe 2017 Zimbabwe 2018 South Africa 2018 Zimbabwe--vacation 2019 South Africa 2019 Botswana 2019 Zimbabwe vacation 2021 South Africa 2021 South Africa (2nd hunt a month later) ______________________________

I trust you keep the ammo bit around your back or to the left. There is no better way to mark your buttstock than scratch it against cartridge rims in a belt.

sambarman338 good point, thats the reason i went to 10 round max in my belts,. wearing mine "in front " with 10 cases is ok, anymore and i think it would scratch if shoulder slung. Nick

Cal ! Are You F()#&!%G Kidding US?!?!?! The belt maker can't stay sober long enough to count to 12 (or 14) cartridge loops!!!!! Surely Mark Sullivan's guy can produce a belt you'd like... I have tried several different methods to carry extra ammo. Initially, I carried two 10 round nylon ammo carriers attached to my pants belt. That wasn't too satisfactory as I had to take my belt out of my belt loops to put them on or take them off. In addition they dragged my pants down and I couldn't wait to take them off when we go back to the cruiser. Also, it seems that in a short time the bullets and cases had green corrosion visible on them. I then tried a leather belt with two leather carriers. The belt was fairly wide and I noticed that I would have a line of sweat on my shirt under the belt after a long hot elephant track. The closed bottom loops of the carriers also collected rain and bits of vegetation which ended up on the ammo and sometimes caused some difficulty in chambering. I finally ended up buying a web style culling belt from Westley Richards. It holds 20 rounds and is mostly web except for short leather buckle and tongue extensions. The webbing lets the skin breath, so no more sweat rings. Ammo does not get corroded, at least it hasn't so far. The open bottom ends of the loops lets moisture and debris fall through so none on the ammo. On several occasions, I didn't notice that I still had the belt on until an hour or more after we got back to the truck. To forget that you had a belt with 20 rounds of 470 ammo in it is still on after an hour must speak for itself. The only shortcoming with it is that because of its width, you can't easily attach a knife or GPS to it. 465H&H

I'm pretty sure we could get everyone to chip in and pay if you had one made for Cal with your name on it. ______________________ DRSS ______________________ Hunt Reports 2015 His & Her Leopards with Derek Littleton of Luwire Safaris - http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/2971090112 2015 Trophy Bull Elephant with CMS http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/1651069012 DIY Brooks Range Sheep Hunt 2013 - http://forums.accuratereloadin...901038191#9901038191 Zambia June/July 2012 with Andrew Baldry - Royal Kafue http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/7971064771 Zambia Sept 2010- Muchinga Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/4211096141 Namibia Sept 2010 - ARUB Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/6781076141

This is mine - got it made by Les Matheson of Napier New Zealand - recommended by Ozhunter. I have 2 slips for 416 Rigby & 2 for my 9.3X62 - 5 rounds each. I find it very comfortable to ware.
