Was that a 10,000.00 (ten-thousand) Euro piece of wood or a 1,000.00 (one-thousand) Euro piece of wood Ivan is holding?
Yes, 10.000 Euro for this peace of wood.
This includes the making and oil-polished-finised (Heym pricelist 1.500 Euro).

Great pictures
Thank you.

Outstanding! That gun has a lot of history! And now it will start again.

I wish I'd been there too! This is what makes A/R the
place it is. The people doing their "thing" and shar-
ing it!

What Mike is refering to is that a few years ago Thomas, the owner of Heym was in Dallas for the DSC.

He went with us on a DRSS Pig hunt.

Hi Friends,

since 5 days the magazine with the article about Ivan Carter, his double gun and his adventures is on the market.

In rekord-time, within a little bit more than 40 days.

And it is my personal rekord. It is 17 pages (!!) story, with photos. I think this is an other record too.

It is printed in the european JAGDZEIT, this means in english HUNTING TIME. This is an magazin about worldwide-hunting.

Here you can see the sice and format of the magazine.
I think it is the "biggest hunting magazine", it is bigger as Din A 4, a piece of paper.

IMO, for what it is worth the cold hammer forging of barrels is the best way to rifle a barrel, along with Cryo stress relieving is why rifles made with this type of barrel making are historically super accurate.

Heym rifles are all made with Cold hammer forged barrels, as are most German made rifles. Most also start with Krupp steel billets.
