Butch:

Great news! I am happy to see that you are have resumed production. This is an excellent rifle and for someone like myself the only afforable HIGH quaility double within reach. I'm very pleased with my 450-400. I don't think most people understand what a deal your rifle is when compared to what's out there as far as newer guns under 20k. Someday I hope to afford another but that will most likely be a while. Keep up the great work and excellent customer service.

Butch,

A like your upgrade option, it looks very nice. Question, what is the purpose of the screw that is visible at the forward top part of the rear stock just under the top lever?

It looks like it might be a trigger hinge pin?

Greg, It's there to reinforce the stock, nothing more.
Bob, left or right, no price change for either.

Butch do you use a different action on the classic from the field grade? Just wondering why the need for the crossbolt on the field grade and not on the classic?
Thanks
Mac

Notice he says he looked at it.....I would not let Mac put his hands on my rifle due to that wood rasp comment on another thread!

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! Butch rarely makes a mistake on his rifles, but If he had put the cheek piece on the proper side of the stock the wood rasp wouldn't be needed! old
