They are being sold on Gunbroker and GunsAmerica.

Wrong, Ballistic Breath! No results on Gunbroker search. Local Rem dealer says he "had one, once", and he sez Rem says in Jan '08 they will be out.

XS headspace, Guns America claims to have a 30-06 in stock and 2 more in route. Nothing at all about the 45-70 though. No good deed goes unpunished.

My local gun dealer is meeting with his suppliers next week for store orders. He is supposed to have my SPR22 in 45-70 and a couple others on Feb. 1st. We'll see.

Has anyone actually held one of these in their hands?? Just wanting to know just how low rent these rifles are going to be. I too would like the 45-70 version. How safe would it be to bore one of these out to a 45-90 or bigger or would they bust apart? I'm still looking for my Poor Man's big bore double. Thanks Brad

Not. That's exactly what Remington's hang up is with these, at least in part. They know a few will do that.... ----------------------------------------------- "Serious rifles have two barrels, everything else just burns gunpowder."

I happened to look at the 2008 Remington catalog yesterday. The SPR22 is conspicuously absent. Nick

All I've seen are in .30/'06. No .45/70's (yet). "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."

The 45-70 is dead. At least until the second coming. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Link to topic Get the 'power' or optic that your eye likes instead of what someone else says. When we go to the doctor they ask us what lens we like! Do that with your optics.
