Wrong, Ballistic Breath! No results on Gunbroker search. Local Rem dealer says he "had one, once", and he sez Rem says in Jan '08 they will be out.

XS headspace,
Guns America claims to have a 30-06 in stock and 2 more in route. Nothing at all about the 45-70 though.

My local gun dealer is meeting with his suppliers next week for store orders. He is supposed to have my SPR22 in 45-70 and a couple others on Feb. 1st. We'll see.

If one wanted to convert one of the 30-06 to something more "traditional" what would be some options?

Has anyone actually held one of these in their hands?? Just wanting to know just how low rent these rifles are going to be. I too would like the 45-70 version. How safe would it be to bore one of these out to a 45-90 or bigger or would they bust apart? I'm still looking for my Poor Man's big bore double.

Thanks

Not. That's exactly what Remington's hang up is with these, at least in part. They know a few will do that....

I happened to look at the 2008 Remington catalog yesterday. The SPR22 is conspicuously absent.

All I've seen are in .30/'06. No .45/70's (yet).

The 45-70 is dead. At least until the second coming.

Get the 'power' or optic that your eye likes instead of what someone else says.

When we go to the doctor they ask us what lens we like!

Do that with your optics.
