Below are some pics of my ghost-ring peep-sight Mr. Bailey Bradshaw built and installed on my Merkel .500 NE. I also had him put on a red fiber optic front bead.

Lane,

I think it looks great, and I love the fibre optic front sight as well. My eyes like the fibre optics more and more everyday, even though I try to keep convincing myself otherwise.

Sometimes change is good, and fibre optics on doubles can be a good change.

I hope you finally have your Merkel dialed in where you wanted it. I know bullet selection can often be a difficult decison, but accuracy is the name of the game. Best of luck with it.

Very nicely done indeed - which of course is to be expected !

The only comment I would make it the "shine" on the curved front of the base (Pic 3 from top) would annoy the F%&k out of me and draw my eye to it. It was the first thing I noticed when trying to see the fibre optic sight.

Your eyes would not even notice it in real life. I hardly even see the ring. That is how Bailey says a a "true ghost-ring" should be...a ghost.

I took those pics with my IPhone. I will take some with a real camera soon and post.

That is the exact setup I have been wanting. That base with the flip up sight is outstanding. Is this a one time custom that he made for you or does he sell those as a stock item? My rib is predrilled so I would just need to check the screw spacing.

Lane

It looks like you left the leaf sight on. do they both register? I would think there would be an elevation change.

Bailey milled off the fixed leaf and left the folding leaf. So...it has a folding rear leaf express sight or the folding ghost-ring aperture sight.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
