Please forgive the upper post;still a novice at posting pictures.BTW,these are averaging 1600MV.They're gas check so more velocity is possible,(62.0G. Max.),but they seem to regulate well with this charge. So far I've only experimented with 5744 powder with this cast bullet.

Never mistake motion for action.

NC, what mold did you cast these bullets from? The target is fabulous, and would make a very nice deer load for my double as well.
About the rear sight, does the front bead sit on the bottom of the aperture of the rear sight, or is the top of the front sight level with the top of the back sight for proper sight picture? If it sits on the bottom, I'd have opened the rear sight up to a wide "V"! OH! I see now the standing sight IS a wide "V"! I didn't see that on my first look at the picture! Roll Eyes
I'm not sure I'm going to be well enough to get down to CAMP COOLEY in this heat, so I may take both my Merkel doubles up to JJ for this sight install, and I will try your 470NE cast load as well! LOOKS GOOD! beer

Mac
Do not let the heat stop you from comming to the DRSS hunt. If it is too hot we can sit in the airconditioning and drink Gin and Tonic [or what ever]. beer

We can just throw down some corn in the front yard and if a pig comes up we can shoot it through the window. BOOM Big Grin

I just checked the temp in Toronto, and it is 36C, or 95F which is Hot for any place in Canada! I don't think it has ever been 120F anyplace in Canada! The only place in the lower 48 that reaches 120F is death valley, the hottest place in north America! Confused
