Apparently he showed them proof that he was trying to get the rifles done. They checked with one of his suppliers and they verified that he ordered some parts.
Of course when it was time to pay for those parts he disappeared. So they sold the parts to someone else.

The court decided that he did not commit fraud because he was trying to build the rifles. Confused

Seems like a country that a criminal would prosper in. Frowner
